It has now been blessed by Abbot Gerhard Hafner of the Benedictine Abbey of Admont and opened by Provincial Councillor Juliane Bogner-Strau\u00df. Three million euros were invested.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Admont, 17.06.2020. Where saws and wood once took centre stage, stethoscopes and diagnostic instruments now reign supreme: The former carpentry workshop of Admont Abbey has been converted into one of the most modern surgeries in the state in recent months - and has now been officially opened as the first primary care centre in Ennstal. \"The health centres in Styria are a success story and a central building block for the best possible care for the people of Styria. The health centre in Admont ensures an optimal range of outpatient and day clinic services. In addition to acute care, the range of treatments also includes health promotion and prevention - and thus makes a significant contribution to maintaining and further expanding one of the best healthcare systems,\" emphasises Juliane Bogner-Strau\u00df, State Councillor for Health, who is delighted that Styria has come another step closer to its goal of having the planned 30 health centres in operation by 2025. \"It's great to see the good progress we are making and that Styria is continuing to fulfil its pioneering role in the field of healthcare in Austria,\" said Bogner-Strau\u00df.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\"><strong>Supply centre to play a pioneering role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">According to Admont Abbey, which is providing the modern surgery premises on the abbey grounds, the health centre is intended to play a pioneering role: \"On the one hand, it is our Christian responsibility to be there for people with physical and mental illnesses and, on the other, we are overcoming the challenges of healthcare in medical, nursing and organisational terms with the health centre at Admont Abbey. For these reasons in particular, we are very pleased to be opening the new health centre here in cooperation with the state and the community,\" emphasises Abbot Gerhard Hafner. Franz Pichler, Economic Director of the Benedictine Abbey of Admont, also emphasises the importance of the new health centre: \"Optimal healthcare in the region is an essential part of a good quality of life and therefore an essential part of regional development. We at Admont Abbey were therefore faced with the challenge of proactively shaping a solution. We took up the possibility of health centres as soon as they became known and were able to demand such a centre for Admont. The state, municipality and our organisation cooperated very well. The second step was to secure funding for the project and we were also able to overcome this hurdle. In total, over three million euros were invested in this new centre. In my opinion, this is one of the most significant investments in our company in recent years, and one that will make our region more attractive and improve the quality of life.\"<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\"><strong>\"First health contact centre\"<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">The new health centre is run by doctors Oliver and Eva-Maria Petz: together with a team of locum doctors, qualified nursing staff and various health experts - such as dieticians and physiotherapists - the couple run the centre, which includes a general practice. \"We look forward to being the first and direct health contact point for people in the region. We are the personal point of contact for health problems, but also for health promotion and prevention,\" emphasises the medical duo in unison. Eva-Maria Petz is a general practitioner who specialises in nutrition, among other things. Oliver Petz is also a general practitioner and a physical therapist specialising in the musculoskeletal system. According to both of them, the PVZ also stands for \"Dr Petz Care Centre\".<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\"><strong>About the Dr. Petz Care Centre Admont<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">The Dr Petz Primary Care Centre Admont is made possible by a cooperation between the province of Styria, the Benedictine Abbey of Admont, the market town of Admont, social insurance and the Styrian Health Fund. The Admont Primary Care Centre is run by the doctors Oliver and Eva-Maria Petz.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\"><strong>The opening hours are<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Monday 07:30 -
