Las primeras monjas proced\u00edan probablemente de Nonnberg, en Salzburgo. Viv\u00edan en una estricta clausura en la orilla izquierda del arroyo Admont hasta que el abad Gottfried hizo construir en 1144 edificios m\u00e1s amplios con una iglesia al sur del monasterio masculino. La gesti\u00f3n interna del convento era responsabilidad de una magistra. No s\u00f3lo ella, sino todas las monjas se caracterizaban por un alto nivel educativo, una piedad ejemplar y una actividad literaria, como demuestran las numerosas fuentes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">No s\u00f3lo redactaron numerosos manuscritos en su propia biblioteca, sino que tambi\u00e9n mantuvieron un animado intercambio epistolar, por ejemplo con el preboste Gerhoh von Reichersberg. Muchos de estos textos se han conservado en los c\u00f3dices de Admont. Algunos de estos manuscritos, que hoy se conservan en los archivos de la abad\u00eda, pueden atribuirse claramente a la biblioteca del convento.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Bajo Christoph Rauber (1508-1536), abad de Admont, comenz\u00f3 el declive total de la comunidad femenina, en el que tambi\u00e9n influyeron las ideas de la Reforma. Las monjas abandonaron el convento y se casaron; en 1550 hab\u00eda cuatro mujeres en el convento, en 1562 s\u00f3lo dos. En 1570 el convento fue declarado inhabitable y en 1582 la \u00faltima monja, Benigna Zwickl, muri\u00f3 en una casa de la ciudad mercado de Admont.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">La exposici\u00f3n 2023 no s\u00f3lo arroja luz sobre la historia del convento hasta su disoluci\u00f3n hacia 1580, sino que tambi\u00e9n muestra manuscritos magn\u00edficamente dise\u00f1ados procedentes de la producci\u00f3n de libros del scriptorium de Admont.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n\t<section class=\"firepress-section
