R\u00e9alis\u00e9e sous la forme d'une exposition permanente intitul\u00e9e \"DEM HIMMEL NAHE-Sammlung Mayer\" au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e du mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye d'Admont. Un ensemble de 85 pi\u00e8ces d'exposition allant de la fin du 14e si\u00e8cle au d\u00e9but du 16e si\u00e8cle. La pr\u00e9sentation de la collection Mayer dans le mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye est le reflet d'une collection priv\u00e9e importante pour l'histoire de l'art ainsi qu'une manifestation de la pens\u00e9e, des sentiments et des actions d'un couple de collectionneurs hors du commun qui se concentre sur les tr\u00e9sors de l'art gothique.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Avec l'abbaye d'Admont, les Mayer ont trouv\u00e9 un partenaire qui leur a offert un cadre financier, spatial et personnel et qui leur a g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement laiss\u00e9 la libert\u00e9 de mettre en \u0153uvre leur concept d'exposition complexe et d\u00e9taill\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 ce que les visiteurs puissent le d\u00e9couvrir et l'explorer. Leur conception globale comprenait la transformation du hall du rez-de-chauss\u00e9e, divis\u00e9 en 12 colonnes, la fabrication d'\u00e9l\u00e9ments architecturaux, l'achat de vitrines sp\u00e9ciales, la communication visuelle et la composition du contenu, ainsi que le texte complet, y compris les audioguides et les imprim\u00e9s tels que le catalogue richement illustr\u00e9 de l'exposition permanente.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lors de l'inauguration de l'exposition permanente en 2017, l'abb\u00e9 Gerhard Hafner a formul\u00e9 des paroles marquantes pour l'avenir : \"Avec cette donation g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse et g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse, le couple Mayer s'inscrira dans la m\u00e9moire historique \u00e0 long terme de l'abbaye d'Admont. C'est avec beaucoup d'amour et de d\u00e9vouement qu'ils ont tous deux collectionn\u00e9 ces \u0153uvres d'art gothiques - nous nous montrerons dignes de ce tr\u00e9sor incommensurable avec un grand soin et une grande responsabilit\u00e9\". En 2019, un timbre sp\u00e9cial \"Collection gothique Mayer au mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye d'Admont\" (tirage 360 000 exemplaires, valeur faciale 135 centimes d'euro) a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9mis par la Poste autrichienne (\u00d6sterreichische Post AG) en hommage \u00e0 l'importance de l'exposition permanente pour l'histoire de la culture et de l'art. Et sur ordre du pape Fran\u00e7ois, Kuno Mayer a re\u00e7u en avril 2018 l'ordre de chevalerie de la Saint-Sylvestre. Cette distinction fait \u00e9galement r\u00e9f\u00e9rence - tout \u00e0 fait dans l'esprit du pape Fran\u00e7ois - au rayon d'importance de la collection Mayer pour la m\u00e9moire culturelle. Ce \"hotspot gothique\" est recherch\u00e9 et appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e par de nombreux visiteurs du mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye.<\/p>\n<p>Peu apr\u00e8s l'ouverture de l'exposition permanente sur le gothique en 2017, Helga Mayer est tomb\u00e9e gravement malade et est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e le 10 octobre de la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kuno Mayer est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 le 12 juillet 2022 apr\u00e8s des ann\u00e9es de maladie et a suivi sa femme Helga avec la certitude que les \u0153uvres qui leur \u00e9taient si famili\u00e8res ont trouv\u00e9 un foyer dans le mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye d'Admont et ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rendues accessibles au public de mani\u00e8re permanente dans le mus\u00e9e de l'abbaye. De plus amples d\u00e9tails sur leur parcours commun pour le gothique \"\u00e0 jamais\" peuvent \u00eatre lus dans le journal du mus\u00e9e 2023 sous le titre \"In Memoriam Kuno und Helga Mayer\" aux pages 14-17 (t\u00e9l\u00e9chargeable en PDF, voir page d'accueil stiftadmont.at).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On peut \u00e9galement lire l'impulsion initiale qu'elle a donn\u00e9e \u00e0 une exposition sur les Habsbourg au Stiftsmuseum, ax\u00e9e sur Maximilien Ier, qui s'est transform\u00e9e au cours des phases de planification en 2021 en une exposition sp\u00e9ciale intitul\u00e9e \"WIR FRIEDRICH III &amp; MAXIMILIAN I. - Ihre Welt und ihre Zeit\" (nous, FRIEDRICH III &amp; MAXIMILIAN Ier - leur monde et leur temps) - avec des pr\u00eats de la partie profane de la collection Mayer dans le contexte de 46 institutions pr\u00eateuses.
