En 1140 apr\u00e8s J.-C., des documents font \u00e9tat d'une colonie autour du passage du col (Taurus Inferior). Le nom Thauern est d'origine celtique et signifie \"un passage dans la montagne\".\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Notre village de montagne Hohentauern est, avec ses 1.274 m d'altitude, le plus haut village alpin du Rottenmanner Tauern. Deux exploitations mini\u00e8res - de magn\u00e9site et de graphite - ferm\u00e9es respectivement depuis 1997 et 1994, t\u00e9moignent depuis toujours de pr\u00e9cieux gisements de min\u00e9raux \u00e0 Hohentauern ; l'exploitation de magn\u00e9site a repris il y a quelques ann\u00e9es \u00e0 ciel ouvert.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>L'\u00e9glise et le cimeti\u00e8re de montagne de Hohentauern sont d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 l'ap\u00f4tre Bartholom\u00e9e (la premi\u00e8re construction de l'\u00e9glise date de 1363). Dans le style gothique, les bordures de vo\u00fbte et les murs du sanctuaire, la chaire et le ma\u00eetre-autel sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans le style baroque et pourvus d'\u00e9l\u00e9ments sculpt\u00e9s. Vers 1885, l'artiste Siegmund Wagner a cr\u00e9\u00e9 cinq s\u00e9ries de tableaux repr\u00e9sentant les quatre \u00e9vang\u00e9listes et J\u00e9sus-Christ en tant que \"bon berger\" sur la chaire de l'\u00e9glise.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le ma\u00eetre-autel avec ses magnifiques sculptures (vers 1750) est attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l'entourage de l'artiste sculpteur Josef Stammel, qui travaillait \u00e0 l'abbaye d'Admont. La croix de la tour avec la girouette date du 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. La tour abrite trois cloches. La plus ancienne cloche de la tour a \u00e9t\u00e9 fondue entre 1438 et 1458 par Hans Mitter, fondeur de cloches \u00e0 Judenburg (150kg, 66cm de diam\u00e8tre).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hohentauern a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9 en paroisse en 1892. La f\u00eate du patron de l'\u00e9glise et de la paroisse - Saint Bartholom\u00e9 - est c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e le dimanche pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant ou suivant la f\u00eate du saint, le 24
