En raison de la situation \u00e9loign\u00e9e d'Admont de l'agglom\u00e9ration d'Ardning, il semblait souhaitable d'avoir sa propre \u00e9glise dans la localit\u00e9, afin que les habitants d'Ardning ne soient pas oblig\u00e9s de se rendre \u00e0 Admont pour assister \u00e0 la messe et recevoir les sacrements. On ne sait toutefois pas quand la premi\u00e8re \u00e9glise a \u00e9t\u00e9 construite \u00e0 Ardning. Mais une maison de Dieu devait d\u00e9j\u00e0 exister \u00e0 la fin du 13e si\u00e8cle, car un acte de l'abbaye d'Admont datant des environs de 1280 mentionne \u00e9galement une \u201eMesnerkeusche\u201c. Le choix du patronage n'est pas non plus tout \u00e0 fait fortuit : On a souvent consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 saint Jean-Baptiste des \u00e9glises qui, \u00e0 l'origine, n'\u00e9taient pas le si\u00e8ge d'une paroisse propre, mais qui n'\u00e9taient dot\u00e9es que du droit de bapt\u00eame et, le plus souvent, du droit d'inhumation. A Ardning, les deux ont d\u00fb exister d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but, car le cimeti\u00e8re qui entoure l'\u00e9glise a probablement \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Selon la tradition, l'abb\u00e9 Georg Lueger d'Admont a fait reconstruire l'\u00e9glise en style gothique vers 1410, et il se pourrait qu'au moins une petite partie de la ma\u00e7onnerie du presbyt\u00e8re et de la nef date de cette \u00e9poque. C'est \u00e0 la m\u00eame \u00e9poque qu'est n\u00e9 le p\u00e8lerinage marial sur le Kulm voisin, qui a rapidement acquis une grande importance et dont la pastorale a d'abord \u00e9t\u00e9 assur\u00e9e directement par l'abbaye d'Admont, jusqu'\u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de la paroisse ind\u00e9pendante de Frauenberg vers le milieu du 16\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Ardning et son \u00e9glise Saint-Jean furent alors rattach\u00e9es \u00e0 cette nouvelle paroisse. On sait qu'aux alentours de 1590, le cur\u00e9 de Frauenberg ou son chapelain se rendait sept jours par an \u00e0 Ardning pour y c\u00e9l\u00e9brer l'office.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"firepress-content__box firepress-content__box--two\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"prose\"><p>Au 17\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, l'abb\u00e9 Raimund von Rehling d'Admont fit r\u00e9nover l'\u00e9glise d'Ardningen de fond en comble dans le style du baroque pr\u00e9coce. Le 16 ao\u00fbt 1666, il proc\u00e9da \u00e0 la nouvelle cons\u00e9cration de l'\u00e9glise. Dans le cadre de la nouvelle r\u00e9glementation et de la densification du r\u00e9seau paroissial men\u00e9es par l'empereur Joseph II, il \u00e9tait \u00e9galement pr\u00e9vu de cr\u00e9er une \u201ecurie locale\u201c \u00e0 l'\u00e9glise Johannes-Kirche, qui devait \u00eatre occup\u00e9e par un b\u00e9n\u00e9dictin d'Admont. En automne 1786, le p\u00e8re Nonnosus Streubl OSB devint le premier cur\u00e9 local d'Ardning, apr\u00e8s que l'ancienne maison du sacristain eut \u00e9t\u00e9 transform\u00e9e en presbyt\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>En 1878, cette curie locale ind\u00e9pendante d'Ardning fut supprim\u00e9e et le secteur pastoral fut \u00e0 nouveau rattach\u00e9 \u00e0 la paroisse m\u00e8re de Frauenberg. L'\u00e9glise Saint-Jean redevint une \u00e9glise filiale de l'\u00e9glise paroissiale et de p\u00e8lerinage de Frauenberg an der Enns.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>En 1946, un grand incendie d\u00e9vastateur, provoqu\u00e9 par les \u00e9tincelles du chemin de fer tout proche, r\u00e9duisit en grande partie l'\u00e9glise et le presbyt\u00e8re en cendres et d\u00e9truisit quelques \u0153uvres d'art irrempla\u00e7ables, dont deux anges du sculpteur Josef Stammel et un groupe Anna Selbdritt de style gothique tardif. Lors de la reconstruction, financ\u00e9e en grande partie par des fonds d'assurance, le dioc\u00e8se de Seckau prit en charge la construction de l'\u00e9glise et l'abbaye d'Admont la construction d'un nouveau presbyt\u00e8re. L'\u00e9glise Saint-Jean d'Ardningen a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruite dans un style architectural sobre, inspir\u00e9 du baroque.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>De 1956 \u00e0 2015, des aum\u00f4niers ont \u00e0 nouveau v\u00e9cu dans le presbyt\u00e8re d'Ardning, avant que l'actuel sup\u00e9rieur et cur\u00e9 de Frauenberg, le p\u00e8re Maximilian Schieferm\u00fcller OSB, qui est \u00e9galement responsable de la filiale d'Ardning d'un point de vue pastoral, n'entreprenne une plus grande collaboration entre les deux districts dans la paroisse de
