Ce n'est pas \u00e9tonnant, car le jardin monastique du Moyen-\u00c2ge avait plusieurs fonctions : Il \u00e9tait utilis\u00e9 pour l'autosuffisance et la production de rem\u00e8des et avait \u00e9galement une signification symbolique. Cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement visible dans le choix des fleurs. On y plantait par exemple la rose blanche, qui symbolise la virginit\u00e9 et la puret\u00e9 de la Vierge. Il en va de m\u00eame pour le muguet, \u00e9galement connu aujourd'hui sous le nom de fleur de Marie. La rose rouge \u00e9tait \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9e. Elle symbolisait l'amour et la souffrance de J\u00e9sus-Christ. Une tradition qui se perp\u00e9tue encore aujourd'hui : Dans le jardin du monast\u00e8re d'Admont poussent des narcisses, qui repr\u00e9sentent la vie \u00e9ternelle et l'espoir d'une vie apr\u00e8s la mort, tout comme des tulipes rouges et blanches, qui symbolisent la passion du Christ ainsi que la puret\u00e9 et l'innocence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t<section class=\"firepress-section firepress-content\"\n\t\t\n\t\tdata-firepress-content\n\t\tdata-firepress-lightbox-group>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"firepress-content__inner\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"firepress-content__grid firepress-content__grid--one-half\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"firepress-content__box firepress-content__box--one\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"prose\"><h5 class=\"heading-m line line-above line--gold\">Au bon voisinage<\/h5>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Le jardin du monast\u00e8re de Stift Admont est g\u00e9r\u00e9 par Isabella Berghofer et son \u00e9quipe. Les fleurs, les herbes, les l\u00e9gumes et les fruits qui y poussent sont un m\u00e9lange de plantes annuelles et vivaces. Ce qui doit pousser \u00e0 quel endroit n'est cependant pas laiss\u00e9 au hasard, mais doit \u00eatre bien r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi, comme le souligne la directrice de la p\u00e9pini\u00e8re de l'abbaye : \"Pour les herbes, il faut faire attention \u00e0 ne planter c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te que celles qui n\u00e9cessitent les m\u00eames soins\". Ainsi, les herbes m\u00e9diterran\u00e9ennes ont besoin de beaucoup de soleil et d'un sol pauvre et sablonneux, tandis que la liv\u00e8che, par exemple, pr\u00e9f\u00e8re une terre riche en nutriments et humide. La sp\u00e9cialiste peut \u00e9galement donner des conseils pratiques pour les l\u00e9gumes : \"La salade et le chou-rave font d'excellents voisins de plate-bande. Les tomates et les concombres ne devraient toutefois pas pousser \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 imm\u00e9diate les uns des autres. Traditionnellement, on y plante aussi bien des herbes m\u00e9dicinales que des herbes culinaires. L'approvisionnement de ces derni\u00e8res est simple : les classiques comme le romarin, la liv\u00e8che, le thym et la sauge peuvent \u00eatre facilement achet\u00e9s. Mais pour pr\u00e9parer des th\u00e9s, des teintures et des extraits \u00e0 froid pour sa propre pharmacie, il faut aussi des herbes m\u00e9dicinales que l'on ne trouve que dans des magasins sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s. Il s'agit notamment de : Achill\u00e9e millefeuille, plantain lanc\u00e9ol\u00e9, alch\u00e9mille, millepertuis et calendula. La m\u00e9lisse, la camomille, la menthe poivr\u00e9e, la guimauve, l'absinthe, la lavande et l'\u00e9chinac\u00e9e ne doivent pas non plus manquer. Lors de la plantation, il faut veiller \u00e0 ce que les herbes qui poussent en hauteur, comme l'\u00e9chinac\u00e9e et diff\u00e9rentes sortes de menthe, soient plac\u00e9es au centre de la plate-bande. Entourer ensuite les carr\u00e9s g\u00e9om\u00e9triques d'une ficelle. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 des herbes m\u00e9diterran\u00e9ennes doivent pousser, du sable fin peut \u00eatre ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la terre.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9tape 5 :\u00a0<\/strong>Pour la plantation, on travaille de l'int\u00e9rieur vers l'ext\u00e9rieur. Les plantes hautes doivent pousser \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de la plate-bande, les plantes basses \u00e0 l'ext\u00e9rieur.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9tape 6 :<\/strong>\u00a0Les possibilit\u00e9s sont nombreuses pour entourer les plates-bandes. La lavande convient tr\u00e8s bien, car elle marque des points avec son port buissonnant et son parfum envo\u00fbtant tout en \u00e9tant facile \u00e0 entretenir. Les haies de tro\u00e8ne et de buis taill\u00e9es court sont \u00e9galement optimales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c9tape 7 :<\/strong>\u00a0Pour am\u00e9nager des all\u00e9es en gravier entre les plates-bandes, il faut \u00e9galement commencer par enlever la couche de gazon existante. Ensuite, le sol est creus\u00e9 pour y appliquer une couche de gravier ou de gravillons. Il faut ensuite poser un voile de protection contre les mauvaises herbes et remplir le chemin de
