Ce jour-l\u00e0, l'Eglise rend hommage \u00e0 tous les saints - connus ou inconnus - qui ont men\u00e9 leur vie dans la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 \u00e0 Dieu et qui sont d\u00e9sormais accomplis dans sa gloire. Leurs exemples de vie sont une orientation et un encouragement pour les croyants d'aujourd'hui. Au cours d'une messe solennelle, on s'est souvenu d'eux et on a pri\u00e9 pour eux afin qu'ils trouvent la vie \u00e9ternelle aupr\u00e8s de Dieu. A la Toussaint, l'Eglise invite \u00e0 repenser le lien entre les vivants et les d\u00e9funts - dans la confiance que la communaut\u00e9 de l'Eglise perdure par-del\u00e0 la mort.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ces deux jours forment une unit\u00e9 profonde : la Toussaint comme f\u00eate de l'espoir et de l'accomplissement, la Toussaint comme expression d'amour et de pri\u00e8re pour ceux qui nous ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9s dans la foi. Dans l'atmosph\u00e8re v\u00e9n\u00e9rable de la coll\u00e9giale, ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9s comme des jours de souvenir, de gratitude et de
