April bis 30. Sept. 2023 ge\u00f6ffnet<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"firepress-section firepress-text sa-scope sa-ground sa-ground--white firepress-section--band firepress-section--background-white\">\n\t<div class=\"sa-container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"firepress-text__columns\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"firepress-text__column sa-prose\">\n\t\t\t\t<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Um 1116\/1120 gr\u00fcndete Abt Wolfhold von Admont ein Frauenkloster nach der Benediktsregel. Es war dem M\u00e4nnerkloster angeschlossen und wurde von dessen Abt mitverwaltet. Die ersten Nonnen d\u00fcrften vom Nonnberg in Salzburg gekommen sein. Sie lebten in strenger Klausur am linken Ufer des Admontbaches. Erst 1144 lie\u00df Abt Gottfried s\u00fcdlich des M\u00e4nnerklosters gr\u00f6\u00dfere Geb\u00e4ude mit einer Kirche erbauen. Die innere Leitung des Nonnenklosters oblag dabei einer magistra. Nicht nur sie, sondern alle Nonnen zeichneten sich durch hohe Bildung, vorbildliche Fr\u00f6mmigkeit und literarische T\u00e4tigkeit aus. Das belegen zahlreiche Quellen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Sie verfassten n\u00e4mlich zahlreiche Handschriften in ihrer Bibliothek selbst. Au\u00dferdem f\u00fchrten sie einen regen Briefwechsel, etwa mit Propst Gerhoh von Reichersberg. Viele solcher Texte sind in Admonter Codices \u00fcberliefert. Eine Reihe dieser Handschriften, die heute im <a href=\"\/it\/sullarchivio-dellabbazia\/\">Archivio dell'Abbazia<\/a> aufbewahrt sind, k\u00f6nnen eindeutig der Bibliothek des Admonter Nonnenklosters zugeordnet werden.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Unter dem Admonter Kommendatarabt Christoph Rauber (1508-1536) begann schlie\u00dflich der v\u00f6llige Niedergang der Frauengemeinschaft. Dabei entfaltete auch reformatorisches Gedankengut seine Wirkung. Nonnen verlie\u00dfen das Kloster und heirateten; 1550 gab es vier Frauen im Kloster, 1562 nur noch zwei. 1570 wurde das Frauenkloster als unbewohnbar bezeichnet. Zuletzt starb 1582 mit Benigna Zwickl die letzte Nonne in einem Haus im Markt Admont.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Die Ausstellung 2023 beleuchtet die Geschichte des Nonnenklosters bis zu seiner Aufl\u00f6sung um 1580. Zudem zeigt sie prachtvoll gestaltete Handschriften aus der Buchproduktion des Admonter Skriptoriums.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section
