Si tratta di Hannes Schwarz (1926-2014) e Gustav Zankl (*1929). La loro giovinezza \u00e8 stata caratterizzata dall'esposizione all'ideologia nazista. Ci\u00f2 che entrambi avevano in comune era la bravura nel disegno. Hannes Schwarz fu scelto per frequentare una scuola nazista d'\u00e9lite a causa del suo talento. La sua formazione artistica termin\u00f2 quando fu arruolato nella brutale guerra, che lo mise di fronte alla morte e al morire. A Gustav Zankl, invece, fu negata l'ammissione a una scuola di ingegneria per ribellione. I pochi anni di vita successivi gli permisero di non partecipare attivamente alla guerra militare. Ma l'indottrinamento, le punizioni per comportamenti devianti e tutto lo stress psicologico lasciarono profonde cicatrici anche su di lui.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\t<section class=\"firepress-section firepress-content firepress-section--background firepress-section--background-beige\"\n\t\t\n\t\tdata-firepress-content\n\t\tdata-firepress-lightbox-group>\n\n\t\t<div class=\"firepress-content__inner\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"firepress-content__grid firepress-content__grid--one-half\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t<div class=\"firepress-content__box firepress-content__box--one\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"prose\"><p class=\"paragraph-m\">Negli anni successivi alla guerra, entrambi decisero di diventare insegnanti ed educatori artistici. Schwarz insegn\u00f2 a Weiz, Zankl a Graz dopo aver lavorato come ingegnere. E furono attivi come artisti. Nel 1953 fu organizzata una mostra del \"Junge Gruppe\" a Weiz, lontano da Graz, dove i discendenti della Secessione di Graz inizialmente non trovavano posto. A Weiz le loro composizioni astratte furono respinte. Erano gli anni successivi al regime nazista e il concetto propagandistico di arte ebbe un effetto duraturo.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Dopo questi primi anni, hanno continuato a sviluppare la loro arte. Negli anni Sessanta, Hannes Schwarz rivolge la sua attenzione alla figura umana, agli orrori dell'esistenza terrena, al dolore, alle paure, alle ferite e alla solitudine. Ne sono testimonianza le immagini di persone sofferenti e maltrattate in letti d'ospedale su uno sfondo nero e vuoto. Oppure mette delle figure umane sedute a un tavolo rotondo, a grande distanza l'una dall'altra. I loro corpi sono coperti da cicatrici e ferite. La serie \"Figure dietro le sbarre\" mostra corpi deformati e sanguinanti dietro sbarre nere. \u00c8 questa esposizione delle persone al mondo che il riflessivo Schwarz, caratterizzato da pensieri filosofici di stampo esistenziale, esprime nelle sue opere di grande formato. Per lui, arte significa ricerca scientifica. A partire dagli anni Sessanta, la sua ricerca sui quanti di colore si \u00e8 manifestata in oggetti d'arte mobili, come le opere del ciclo \"Cluster of Information\" (2007). Si tratta per lo pi\u00f9 di pannelli o corpi di compensato dipinti, le cui combinazioni di colori si basano su calcoli precisi. La partecipazione \u00e8 la massima premessa artistica di Zankl. Come scrive l'artista, i suoi oggetti d'arte sono destinati a incoraggiare gli spettatori ad \"agire\" e ad \"espandere il loro potenziale emotivo e intellettuale\".<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Nel 2015 Zankl ha esposto il \"Cluster of Information\" presso il Centro Hannes Schwarz di Weiz. Questo ciclo di opere \u00e8 stato acquistato dal monastero nel 2022 e quindi quest'anno \u00e8 possibile vedere una giustapposizione delle opere e dei diversi approcci artistici dei due artisti stiriani, dimostrando ancora una volta un'idea centrale nella strategia espositiva degli ultimi due decenni: Entrare in dialogo. L'arte espressiva incontra l'arte concreta, entrambe con l'obiettivo di emozionarci.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Nel 2024 ricorre il decimo anniversario della morte di Hannes Schwarz.
