Diese gro\u00dfartige und weitgehend auf einer Schenkung beruhende Gotik-Ausstellung reagiert auf ein neu erwachtes Interesse an den sakralen Skulpturen des sp\u00e4ten Mittelalters, welche ihre zu Niklaus Weckmann aus Ulm und dem S\u00fcdtiroler Meister Hans Klocker aus Brixen \u2013 k\u00f6nnen nur einen knappen \u00dcberblick von einer Epoche geben, die zu den reichsten und fruchtbarsten Die Exponate der Sammlung Kuno Mayer sind ein sichtbarer Erfolg jahrelanger T\u00e4tigkeit im spezialisierten Kunsthandel. Sie verfolgen den gemeinn\u00fctzigen Zweck das andauernde Interesse an der Kunst des Mittelalters einer breiten Bev\u00f6lkerungsschicht zu wecken.
