Quando \u00e8 stata istituita la collezione d'arte contemporanea dell'Abbazia di Admont, era gi\u00e0 evidente che molti degli artisti rappresentati in questa nuova parte della collezione erano nati in Stiria o erano in qualche modo radicati nella regione. In termini di strategia della collezione, non c'\u00e8 mai stata l'intenzione di concentrarsi sull'arte stiriana. Il fatto che tanti artisti legati alla Stiria svolgano un ruolo cos\u00ec importante nella scena artistica austriaca e internazionale non \u00e8 certo una coincidenza... E oltre al Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, questo fa parte anche della mostra STEIRISCHE WURZELN: <a situazione dell'arte contemporanea in Stiria quasi tre decenni fa \u00e8 stata analizzata in dettaglio nella mostra del 1994 \"Styrian Window\" alla Neue Galerie Graz. Nella pubblicazione omonima*, consigliata come lettura di base per l'attuale mostra all'Abbazia di Admont, la scena culturale stiriana di allora \u00e8 ben analizzata e documentata. Sono stati presi in considerazione tutti i media e le forme di espressione dell'arte contemporanea. Sono stati inclusi tutti gli artisti rilevanti per l'argomento all'epoca (circa 800). Sono state presentate tutte le istituzioni e le iniziative culturali e i loro programmi, compresi i principali promotori come Neue Galerie, Forum Stadtpark, steirischer herbst, trigon, Haus der Architektur, Steirische Kulturinitiative, Akademie Graz, Kulturzentrum bei den Minoriten, Joanneum Research e molti altri.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Sans',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; background: white;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal paragraph-m\"><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Sans',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black; mso-color-alt: windowtext; background: white;\">Iniziative e istituzioni pi\u00f9 recenti, come la \"Kunsthaus Graz\", che all'epoca non era ancora stata costruita, e l'Abbazia di Admont, fondata nel 1074, non sono state menzionate nella \"Finestra della Stiria\". La creazione della collezione di arte austriaca contemporanea dell'Abbazia di Admont \u00e8 iniziata nel 1997. Inizialmente la collezione si concentrava sulla generazione giovane e media dell'arte contemporanea austriaca. Nel 2003 \u00e8 stata presentata per la prima volta al pubblico nell'allora nuovissimo museo con il titolo di mostra \"Collezione d'arte contemporanea\". Gi\u00e0 allora il colpo d'occhio era notevole: Molti degli artisti rappresentati in questa nuova parte della collezione sono nati in Stiria o sono in qualche modo radicati nella regione. In termini di strategia della collezione, non c'\u00e8 mai stata l'intenzione di concentrarsi sull'arte stiriana. Il fatto che tanti artisti legati alla Stiria svolgano un ruolo cos\u00ec importante nella scena artistica austriaca e internazionale non \u00e8 certo una coincidenza.<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Sans',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; background: white;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal paragraph-m\"><span style=\"font-family: 'IBM Plex Sans',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; color: black; mso-color-alt: windowtext; background: white;\">Kulturland Styria non \u00e8 una \"provincia culturale\". Da decenni d\u00e0 impulsi innovativi nel campo delle belle arti a livello nazionale e internazionale. Come Abbazia di Admont, ricca di tradizione e di contrasti, cerchiamo nel nostro museo di contribuire al meglio alla produzione, alla percezione e alla comunicazione dell'arte contemporanea in Stiria. Oltre alle acquisizioni \"generali\", da oltre 20 anni commissioniamo opere d'arte. Un caso particolare di vecchia generazione \u00e8 Hannes Schwarz, al quale abbiamo dedicato una sezione a parte in seguito a una donazione. Molto \u00e8 cambiato dal 1994. La rete globale, che all'epoca si stava sviluppando solo lentamente, \u00e8 diventata una cosa ovvia. Oggi viviamo nell'era della digitalizzazione e dei nuovi media. Questo ha cambiato completamente anche la produzione artistica, la scena artistica e l'educazione all'arte. Di conseguenza, gli artisti stessi hanno la possibilit\u00e0 di dire la loro nella mostra in base ai mezzi e alle possibilit\u00e0 del nostro tempo.
