Prve nune so verjetno pri\u0161le iz Nonnberga v Salzburgu. \u017divele so v strogi ogradi na levem bregu potoka Admont, dokler ni opat Gottfried leta 1144 dal ju\u017eno od mo\u0161kega samostana zgraditi ve\u010dje stavbe s cerkvijo. Za notranje upravljanje samostana je bila odgovorna magistra. Ne le njo, ampak vse nune so zaznamovali visoka stopnja izobrazbe, zgledna pobo\u017enost in literarna dejavnost, kar dokazujejo \u0161tevilni viri.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">V svoji knji\u017enici nista sestavljala le \u0161tevilnih rokopisov, temve\u010d sta si tudi \u017eivahno izmenjevala pisma, na primer s pro\u0161tom Gerhohom von Reichersbergom. \u0160tevilna taka besedila so se ohranila v Admontovih kodeksih. \u0160tevilne od teh rokopisov, ki jih zdaj hranijo v samostanskem arhivu, lahko nedvoumno pripi\u0161emo samostanski knji\u017enici.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Pod vodstvom Christopha Rauberja (1508-1536), opata v Admontu, se je za\u010del popoln zaton \u017eenske skupnosti, na kar so vplivale tudi reformacijske ideje. Menihi so zapu\u0161\u010dali samostan in se poro\u010dali; leta 1550 so bile v samostanu \u0161tiri \u017eenske, leta 1562 pa le \u0161e dve. 1570 je bil samostan razgla\u0161en za neprimernega za bivanje, leta 1582 pa je v hi\u0161i v tr\u017enem mestu Admont umrla zadnja nuna Benigna Zwickl.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph-m\">Razstava iz leta 2023 ne osvetljuje le zgodovine samostana do njegove ukinitve okoli leta 1580, temve\u010d prikazuje tudi \u010dudovito oblikovane rokopise iz knji\u017ene produkcije Admontskega
