A haul of medals for Dveri PAX – double gold and a silver

A shower of medals for Dveri PAX: double gold and a silver at the AWC Vienna

A major international success for Dveri PAX, the winery of the Benedictine Abbey of Admont: at the prestigious AWC Vienna – International Wine Challenge, three of its wines were awarded gold and silver medals. The competition is regarded as the world’s largest officially recognised wine competition.

The „Sauvignon V“, 2019 vintage, and the quality sparkling wine „DP Brut Furmint“, 2020 vintage, were both awarded gold medals. The winery can also celebrate another award for its 2025 vintage Sauvignon, which was awarded a silver medal. Two gold medals and one silver thus make for a truly

A shower of medals for Dveri PAX, once again confirming the winery’s high standards of quality.

The AWC Vienna is one of the most prestigious international quality competitions in the wine industry and was held this year for the 23rd consecutive time. „Quality is the result of consistent hard work“

There is also great delight at the Benedictine Abbey of Admont at this latest international success.

„Two gold medals and one silver medal at an international competition of this calibre are a tremendous honour and, of course, make us very proud. Above all, this success once again underlines the high quality of our wines and the outstanding, meticulous work carried out at Dveri PAX year after year. Behind such awards lie a wealth of experience, passion and an uncompromising commitment to quality.“, emphasises Franz Pichler, Director of Finance at Admont Benedictine Abbey.

For Danilo Flakus, Director and Oenologist at Dveri PAX, this quality begins long before bottling:

„Every great wine begins in the vineyard. Our aim is to bring out the distinctive characteristics of our vineyards and grape varieties with the utmost care, and to give them the necessary time and attention in the cellar. Three medals at the AWC Vienna are a wonderful recognition for our entire team and confirm the path we are pursuing with great passion and dedication.“

DP Brut Furmint impresses in several ways

The DP Brut Furmint 2020 is particularly impressive. In addition to its recent gold medal at the AWC Vienna, this sparkling wine was also awarded a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards and received 93 points from Falstaff. The DP Brut Furmint can therefore boast several high-calibre international accolades.

A centuries-old winemaking tradition meets the highest standards of quality

Dveri PAX combines the centuries-old winemaking tradition of the Benedictine Abbey of Admont with modern oenology and a clear ambition: to produce wines with a distinctive character that meet the highest international standards.

The fact that three wines from Dveri PAX were honoured at the AWC Vienna not only demonstrates the breadth of the winery’s portfolio, but also the consistency of its commitment to quality. These latest successes thus join the long list of national and international awards won by Dveri PAX.
