Election day of Abbot Gerhard 2024

On 25 January 2017, Abbot Gerhard was elected the 68th Abbot of Admont Abbey. To mark the occasion, the prior and convent once again organised a festive service in the abbey church this year. Since 2018, this pontifical mass has been presided over by the Provost of Reichersberg Abbey, Markus Grassl, who also referred to the 950 years of Admont Abbey in his sermon this year and emphasised the responsible role of the abbot. We wish our Abbot Gerhard continued strength and health as well as God's blessing for his service to our community and the entire monastery.
