On the feast day of Ascension, numerous children were able to celebrate their First Communion at Admont Abbey.
Together with their families, godparents and many of the faithful, they gathered for this special service in a festive atmosphere.
The celebration was led by Abbot Gerhard, who accompanied the children on their important step on the path of faith. The First Communion children received Holy Communion for the first time with great joy and visible enthusiasm.
This day was an unforgettable experience for the children and their parents. The solemn organisation of the service, the community and the festive atmosphere made the First Communion a special highlight of the church year.
Admont Abbey rejoices with all the First Communion children and their families and wishes them God's rich blessing for the rest of their lives.
