Literature meets history: an authors’ reading at Admont Abbey Library
A special literary evening in an extraordinary venue: On Friday 13 November 2026, the world’s largest monastic library at Admont Benedictine Abbey will become a stunning setting for contemporary literature.
To mark the 250th anniversary of the Abbey Library, a special author invites visitors to engage critically and creatively with knowledge, power and the significance of collections of knowledge.
With texts by Markus Köhle and IG Fem, as well as the winning entries from the „Wissen:Macht“ writing competition, visitors can look forward to a varied evening full of ideas, perspectives and literary inspiration.
The event also marks the grand finale of the literature festival, featuring a poetry slam.
