With gratitude and affection: a festive service to mark Abbot Gerhard’s 62nd birthday
A special occasion, marked by gratitude, appreciation and a sense of community: the monastic community of the Benedictine Abbey of Admont celebrated Abbot Gerhard Hafner OSB’s 62nd birthday with a solemn service.
Holy Mass was celebrated by Prior Gerwig Romirer OSB (St Lambrecht Abbey) and accompanied by a festive musical performance by the pupils of Admont Abbey Grammar School. Their participation lent this special service an atmosphere that was both dignified and moving.
As well as expressing gratitude for our abbot’s work to date, the celebration focused above all on offering good wishes for his future and his responsible service at the head of our monastic community.
Dear Abbot Gerhard!
On the occasion of your 62nd birthday, we sincerely wish you God’s abundant blessings, good health and joy, and continued strength, wisdom and confidence in all your endeavours.
May Saint Benedict continue to guide you on your journey and always grant you the confidence, inner peace and strength you need for your blessed work.
Ad multos annos – here’s to many more blessed years!
Your Stift family!
