Admonter Writing Competition – Poetry Slam 2026

Enter the writing competition with your text

• The specified central theme „Knowledge: Power: Space“ (see reverse) – how this is addressed is

            left entirely to the writer’s discretion

• any number of texts, freely selectable text type(s)
• Total submission (sum of all texts): max. 5,000 characters, including spaces

• unpublished texts written by the author
• Send to bibliothek@stiftadmont.at; Subject:

            „Writing competition“; including name, address,

             Email address and telephone number

• Closing date for entries: 16 October 2026

Poetry Slam + Young Poets Slam (under 20s)

• texts written by the students themselves and delivered without the aid of any materials

• Two texts are required per participant (for the preliminary round and the final).

• Time limit of a maximum of 5 minutes per text
• Decision by public vote

            Slam category: U20 („Young Poets Slam“) or open category

3.00 pm Young Poets Slam
5.30 pm Poetry slam with an open line-up
8.00 pm Reading by the winners of the writing competition; readings by authors

Supporting programme: Free admission and a special guided tour of the abbey library
