Special exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art
The 2017 special exhibition at the Museum Gegenwartskunst offers lively insights into the collection of contemporary art, which began in 1997 and has now been running for 20 years.
The spectrum ranges from the first to the most recent acquisitions, from the MADE FOR ADMONT works to the artistic interventions. And of course the presentation of the special collection "JENSEITS DES SEHENS - Art connects blind and sighted people" as an independent collection area in the entire collection. Documentary spots make it possible to experience how the contemporary art collection has grown and how it sets worlds in motion.
Around 170 artists, most of whom were born in Austria or worked here from the mid-20th century onwards, are represented with works in the collection. Some of them are on display in this exhibition, as it were representative of all of them and representative of the internal structure of the collection.
OPEN THE LINK as one of numerous possibilities for a selection of works and a combination of works - in an exhibition structure to mark the 20th anniversary of the Contemporary Art Collection. Celebrate with us! OPEN THE LINK!
