VIRTUAL TOUR THROUGH THE PARISH CHURCH
History and art of the parish of Kammern
In 1196, the church of St John the Baptist appears for the first time as a daughter parish of St Michael / Liesingtal. The church was rebuilt after it was destroyed by the Turks in 1480.
A special feature is the second largest bell from the workshop of Jörg Perger, which dates back to 1536.
Worth seeing is a Gothic statue of the Mother of God in the style of the "Beautiful Madonna" from 1420.
