ULLI COOKS - with wood & fire!

This time we cooked in the middle of the ADMONTER wood processing plant - no joke!

After an intensive tour of the showroom and production with Hannes Kniewasser, one thing was clear: it's time to heat things up!

On the menu: Ritschert over an open fire - a rustic highlight, right between fine parquet floors, doors and acoustic panels. And best of all: nothing is burnt. No kitchen, no Ritschert, no Hannes - just Ulli burning with a passion for cooking!

We laughed, ate, toasted and talked shop - about wood, craftsmanship and savoury delights. A real experience with fire, flavour and plenty of team spirit.

Thanks to the ADMONTER team for the hot location and the even hotter teamwork!

Ulli cooks - this time with real excitement!

What happens when Ulli wields the wooden spoon together with the managing director of Envesta - our regional energy supplier?

Of course: it will be hot, very funny and quite informative!

Tears were already flowing during the onion cutting - whether because of the onions or because of the touching insights into the world of power supply remains unclear.

Then the big shock: power failure! But don't panic - Christoph Hell came to the rescue!

With expertise, charm and probably a screwdriver in his pocket, he showed how energy really works. Christoph also showed Ulli how electricians cook sausages... namely with a lot of flair and power.

The highlight: a perfect goulash à la Ulli, with lots of flavour, a pinch of humour and cooked to perfection.

The programme will be online soon, so watch it, laugh along and learn something new!

"Ulli cooks" soon on TV!

The successful cookery series from Admont Abbey is entering the next round - and now has a new broadcasting partner in Ennstal TV!

What happens when a chef in a good mood,  Monks from Admont Abbey and regional producers and personalities, lots of regional ingredients and a bit of monastery flair come together? Exactly: culinary television with soul, flavour and delicacies!

From autumn onwards, Ennstal TV will be chopping, stirring and telling what Upper Styria has to offer in terms of taste and history. Included: people who love what they do and a pen that not only prays, but also cooks really well.

Look forward to more episodes, more stories and more hunger to watch.

"Ulli cooks" - now also on television. Bon appétit, Ennstal!

Ulli cooks - and this time it got wild!

This time, the kitchen became the stage for a very special culinary experience: Ulli cooks - together with Father Thomas Stellwag-Carion OSB. On the menu: Game meat, homemade pasta, fresh herbs, a touch of Italian lifestyle - and of course more than just a sip of wine.

(A little spoiler beforehand: the marvellous Pinot Noir from Dveri PAX didn't just find its way into the sugo...)

What many people may not realise:

Father Thomas is not only a very likeable and humorous fellow, but also a passionate cook with impressive skills. Between steaming pasta, aromatic herbs and hearty laughter, we cooked, tasted and savoured - pure culinary joy!

As always, regional ingredients, craftsmanship and a pinch of dolce vita took centre stage - accompanied by a glass of fine wine and a good belly laugh.

Radio waves met cooking spoons: Martin Teibinger as a guest on "Ulli kocht"

The popular video series "Ulli cooks", a cooperation between Admont Abbey and Stiftskeller Admont, once again skilfully brought culinary delights, personality and regional products to the plate.

On 7 July, none other than Martin Teibinger, the well-known voice of Radio Grün-Weiß, was a guest in the kitchen of Ulrich Mattlschweiger, the tenant of the Stiftskeller.

What many people perhaps didn't know was that Martin is a trained chef - and so this visit wasn't just about chatting, but also about cooking. The menu included fish from the region, freshly caught, seasonal and - as always with "Uli cooks" - served with a good portion of good humour.

The programme once again offered an authentic insight into the world of regional cuisine and showed how good food and good conversation go hand in hand. True to the motto: Cook together. Enjoy together.

The video with Martin Teibinger will soon be published on the official channels of Admont Abbey.

It's worth taking a look!

Ulli cooks - and this time it's really fruity!

This time it was time to get out of the kitchen and into the apple Olympus!

Ulli made a pilgrimage to the guru of apple refinement - the one and only Christian Weißensteiner, better known as "der Veitlbauer". Apple guru, cider whisperer, juicer - and also a cider sommelier with heart, soul and probably apple seeds in his blood.

And why all this? Because Ulli's guests love the fine wines from Veitlbauer - whether juice, cider, cider or vinegar - the main thing is apple, the main thing is good!

(Ulli even claims that apple cider vinegar can cure depression, sort socks and improve WLAN - but this has not yet been scientifically proven).

Back in the kitchen, there was no spilling, but tempting baking: Baked apple wheels with vanilla ice cream - a sweet treat for the palate that will soften even the most hardened sugar refuser.

Naturally with regional apples! Naturally cooked with love.

And, of course, so good that afterwards you ask yourself: "Can you actually eat too many apple wheels?" (Spoiler: no.)

Ulli cooks with mum - roast onions, wishes and lots of fun

In this particularly warm and funny episode of "Ulli cooks", it's family time - because this time none other than Ulli's mum is at the cooker with him! Together, the two of them conjure up a real classic: roast onions. And as it should be, there's not only chopping and frying, but also lots of laughter - especially when mum takes charge.

The reason for this dish comes from a very special fan: Peter Siedler! He kept posting recipe requests on Facebook - and this roast onion dish was one of them. So his wish became a reality, he switched on the camera and started cooking.

The episode is not only a culinary highlight, but also a bit of a challenge - especially for the cameraman, who bravely held out between mum commands, the smell of onions and fits of laughter.

A must for anyone who loves good food and real moments!

Ulli cooks with Father Michael: Carinthian Reindling and heavenly humour

In this particularly funny episode of "Ulli cooks", they don't just bake, they also laugh heartily. Ulli has invited Father Michael from Admont Abbey into the kitchen - and together they prepare a real Carinthian speciality: the traditional Carinthian Reindling. This fluffy yeast dough with a sweet filling of cinnamon, sugar and sultanas is a classic among pastries and tastes of home, tradition and cosiness.

But why a recipe from Carinthia? The answer lies in the history of Admont Abbey: St Hemma of Gurk, an important noblewoman from Carinthia, founded the monastery in the 11th century. Her spiritual and social foresight laid the foundations for one of the oldest Benedictine abbeys in Austria. With the Reindling, Father Michael not only reminds us of these roots, but also brings a piece of Carinthian culture into the kitchen - spiced up with a good dose of humour.

This makes cooking together a real experience: informative, entertaining and full of flavour - in both senses of the word!
