Ulli cooks - and this time it's really fruity!
This time it was time to get out of the kitchen and into the apple Olympus!
Ulli made a pilgrimage to the guru of apple refinement - the one and only Christian Weißensteiner, better known as "der Veitlbauer". Apple guru, cider whisperer, juicer - and also a cider sommelier with heart, soul and probably apple seeds in his blood.
And why all this? Because Ulli's guests love the fine wines from Veitlbauer - whether juice, cider, cider or vinegar - the main thing is apple, the main thing is good!
(Ulli even claims that apple cider vinegar can cure depression, sort socks and improve WLAN - but this has not yet been scientifically proven).
Back in the kitchen, there was no spilling, but tempting baking: Baked apple wheels with vanilla ice cream - a sweet treat for the palate that will soften even the most hardened sugar refuser.
Naturally with regional apples! Naturally cooked with love.
And, of course, so good that afterwards you ask yourself: "Can you actually eat too many apple wheels?" (Spoiler: no.)
Ulli cooks with mum - roast onions, wishes and lots of fun
In this particularly warm and funny episode of "Ulli cooks", it's family time - because this time none other than Ulli's mum is at the cooker with him! Together, the two of them conjure up a real classic: roast onions. And as it should be, there's not only chopping and frying, but also lots of laughter - especially when mum takes charge.
The reason for this dish comes from a very special fan: Peter Siedler! He kept posting recipe requests on Facebook - and this roast onion dish was one of them. So his wish became a reality, he switched on the camera and started cooking.
The episode is not only a culinary highlight, but also a bit of a challenge - especially for the cameraman, who bravely held out between mum commands, the smell of onions and fits of laughter.
A must for anyone who loves good food and real moments!
Ulli cooks with Father Michael: Carinthian Reinling and heavenly humour
In this particularly funny episode of "Ulli cooks", there is not only baking, but also hearty laughter. Ulli has invited Father Michael from Admont Abbey into the kitchen - and together they prepare a real Carinthian speciality: the traditional Carinthian Reinling. This fluffy yeast dough with a sweet filling of cinnamon, sugar and sultanas is a classic among pastries and tastes of home, tradition and cosiness.
But why a recipe from Carinthia? The answer lies in the history of Admont Abbey: St Hemma of Gurk, an important noblewoman from Carinthia, founded the monastery in the 11th century. Her spiritual and social foresight laid the foundations for one of the oldest Benedictine abbeys in Austria. With Reinling, Father Michael not only recalls these roots, but also brings a piece of Carinthian culture into the kitchen - spiced up with a good dose of humour.
This makes cooking together a real experience: informative, entertaining and full of flavour - in both senses of the word!
