On 6 February, the Admont Abbey Archive provided a unique insight into its impressive collection of handwritten music. The afternoon lecture was given by Dr Ikarus Kaiser (musicologist, Wilhering Abbey), who has been responsible for cataloguing these holdings in recent years.
The participants learnt interesting facts about the historical sheet music and got to see special individual pieces from the collection. After this introduction, individual works were also brought to life through sound.
