13er pilgrimage and candlelight procession

The 13er pilgrimage with candlelight procession is a special moment of prayer and fellowship in Admont Abbey Church. The faithful come together to commemorate the Blessed Virgin Mary, to bring their intentions before her and to pause together. The solemn atmosphere of the collegiate church lends this pilgrimage a special depth and tranquillity.

A central component is the candlelight procession: participants parade through the church with lit candles in silent prayer. The light of the candles symbolises hope, trust and the faith that illuminates the path - even in dark times. Carried together, the light becomes a sign of solidarity with each other and with God.
