A triple restart of Admont Abbey for the Nativity of the Virgin Mary

At a festive service on 8 September 2023 in the Frauenberg / Enns pilgrimage church, a triple new start took place: Brother Josef Beer transferred his solemn profession from Seckau Abbey to Admont Abbey with the approval of Abbot Johannes Fragner. He was motivated to do so by the desire to contribute to the many different tasks of Admont Abbey. Frater Thomas Roth belonged to the "Servants of Jesus and Mary" (Servi Jesu et Mariae) in Blindenmarkt in Lower Austria. Their special charism is the scout pastoral care. He also asked for a new start in Admont. George - the new name given to it by Abbot Gerhard Hafner - is the patron saint of scouts. However, the admission of two new confreres also means - as Abbot Gerhard pointed out - a new start for the entire monastic community. - The monks, the families of Frater Josef and Frater Georg and the entire congregation offered this threefold new start to the intercession of Our Lady of Frauenberg during the service!
