Ars Antiqua Austria presented the only Catholic Passion oratorio in the abbey church

The "Oratorio de passione domini nostri Jesu Christi" by Franz Joseph Aumann (1728-1797) was only recently tracked down through painstaking detective work and was performed in the abbey church on the evening of 21 March. Despite the Latin title, the late Baroque work is written in German and is the only known Catholic passion to date.
