A look back: Big Band Concert 2026
On 3 June, the large ballroom of the Stiftsgymnasium Admont was transformed into a stage for the greatest hits in music history. Under the motto „SUPER STARS“, the Big Band of the Stiftsgymnasium presented a rousing concert programme and thrilled the audience with musical diversity, energy and impressive solo performances.
From the legendary songs of Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner to the unforgettable hits of Michael Jackson, Queen and Elton John to modern classics by Bruno Mars, the programme spanned several decades of music history. The specially arranged big band versions gave the well-known melodies a special sound and provided numerous goosebump moments.
The young musicians not only impressed with their musical skills, but also with their obvious joy in making music together. Numerous soloists set special accents and made the evening a varied and entertaining concert experience. The audience thanked the performers with long-lasting applause and great enthusiasm.

,SUPER STARS“ has once again shown how important music is at the Stiftsgymnasium Admont and how much passion, commitment and talent the Big Band possesses.
