On 7 March 2026, the Holy Requiem for Prelate Bruno Hubl OSB was celebrated in Admont Abbey Church.
Numerous believers, companions and mourners from near and far gathered in the collegiate church to say farewell together and pray for the deceased.
The life and work of Old Abbot Bruno was commemorated in a dignified atmosphere characterised by great sympathy. The solemn liturgy offered space for gratitude for his many years of service, his spiritual leadership and his tireless commitment to the Benedictine Abbey of Admont and the people entrusted to his care.
Prelate Bruno Hubl shaped Admont Abbey for many years and left a lasting mark far beyond the monastery walls. Many of those present associated personal memories with him - as a pastor, spiritual guide and committed organiser of church and cultural life.
The large number of people in attendance showed the deep solidarity and esteem in which he was held. He was remembered in collective prayer and silent gratitude and his life was entrusted to God.
May Old Abbot Bruno Hubl rest in peace.
