Anniversary of the church consecration
On 28 September each year, as today, we commemorate the consecration of our collegiate church in 1074 and thus the foundation of our monastery by Archbishop Gebhard. In this Holy Mass, Abbot Gerhard recalled a text by Origen (+253/54) which reflects on who is "built in" where as a living building block in our church. In this case, Abbot Gerhard for himself would like to be a large bell that carries the message of Jesus out into the world.
