With lovely details such as the Christ Child's post office, the brass players, or the living nativity scene, the wait until the big day feels remarkably brief.
In winter, the Benedictine Abbey of Admont looks truly mystical. In this atmosphere, one can experience contemplative and moving hours within the monastery walls, specifically during the Advent season at Admont Abbey,which annually provides a beautiful ambiance on the third weekend of Advent. Some look forward to mulled wine, others prefer rye doughnuts or homemade sausages from Grabnerhof - and still others have come for shopping and find craftsmanship, hats, candles, jewelry, and much more!

An experience in a special ambience...
The special ambiance is one thing, but in addition, "Advent im Stift Admont" (Advent at Admont Abbey) also brings great tradition and a wonderful program with it. Especially children look forward to the Christ Child post office, where they can send letters to the Christ Child and then look forward to a response. Moreover, the little ones can craft Christmas gifts in the museum workshop, admire the impressive Christmas nativity scene in the abbey church, ride ponies, and experience solemn church services to prepare for the Christmas season.
And you can also "taste through the Gesäuse" with specialties such as Ennstal "Steirerkaskrapfen", the popular "Engelslocken" or the "Gesäuse burger".
