Below you will find the admission prices (individual guests and groups) for the museum and library of Admont Abbey

Visit museum landscape (excl. guided tour library)

Day visitors can take a guided tour of the world's largest monastery library (Duration approx. 40 min, language German) for € 3,00 (excl. entrance fee) per person. All mentioned entry fees do not include a guided tour through the library.

The library and all other museum areas can also be visited without a guided tour.

Audioguides are available in multiple languages. Rental fee is €4.00, obtainable at the ticket counter.

Guided tours through the library at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
Unfortunately, the reservation of single tickets is not possible!

Photography is possible throughout the museum without flash and without a tripod for private use. Persons with tripods fall into the category of "professional photography" and require a written registration or a signed photographer's contract. This must be agreed 3-5 working days in advance. Wedding shoots are not permitted in the monastery library.

Discounts and partner cards: Discounts are only valid on presentation of a valid ID and are only available at the ticket office.

 

For groups, every 21st person and the bus driver or tour guide is granted a free seat.

The special event "Library by Night", special guided tour "Stone & Building Stories", as well as our children's and holiday programmes can only be visited by booking in advance at museum@stiftadmont.at.

Admission tickets and prices

 

The admission ticket is valid for the day purchased. The prices are valid from 19 March to 14 December 2025. Subject to price changes and typographical errors.

All prices in Euro and per person. 

 

 

General information

 

It is forbidden to smoke, consume food and drink and touch works of art and exhibits in all rooms. Guided tours are only permitted by our trained guides. Guided tours by tour guides must be registered in advance at museum@stiftadmont.at and authorised in writing. 

Animals are not permitted in the museum. Exceptions to this rule are certified assistance dogs listed on the ID card. In order to ensure optimal care, we kindly ask you to register in advance at    or under   +43 (0) 3613/2312-604.
