The archive of Admont Benedictine Abbey is a real gem for anyone who wants to experience history at first hand. With a rich collection of Deeds, charters and personal files of the monks, their Correspondence and estates and the Administrative documents from the monastery to the present day, it offers unique insights into almost 1,000 years of monastic and regional life.

 

In addition, the archives of the market town of Admont, all the parishes, provostries and dominions of the monastery as well as sources on forestry, mining and the former nunnery are kept here.

 

A special highlight are the Special collections: one Extensive coin and stamp collectionhistorical Photographs, Maps and Plans - true treasures for researchers, collectors and anyone who loves history.
