Below you will find the admission prices (individual guests and groups) for the museum and library of Admont Abbey

Day visitors can take a guided tour of the world's largest monastery library (Duration approx. 40 min, language German) for € 4.90 (excl. admission) per person All mentioned entry fees do not include a guided tour through the library.
The library and all other museum areas can also be visited without a guided tour.
Audio guides are available in several languages. Borrowing fee € 4.50 - available at the ticket office.
Guided tours through the library at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day.
Unfortunately, the reservation of single tickets is not possible!

Group bookings - important information!
Please note that in case of no-show of the registered group or in case of late cancellation (less than 24 hours before the appointment) 100 % of the total costs according to the offer or according to the prices listed on our website will be charged.
If your group is delayed by more than 45 minutes and this is not communicated at least 2 hours before the start of the tour, the full tour fee will be charged - even if the tour is shortened or cannot be carried out.
We would like to point out that we will of course always endeavour to make guided tours possible even if changes are made at short notice. However, our personalised guided tours are planned in advance and require an efficient use of resources. For this reason, tours may unfortunately be cancelled in the event of last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

taking photos
Photography is possible throughout the museum without flash and without a tripod for private use. Persons with tripods fall into the category of "professional photography" and require a written registration or a signed photographer's contract. This must be agreed 3-5 working days in advance. Wedding shoots are not permitted in the monastery library.

Discounts and partner cards: Discounts are only valid on presentation of a valid ID and are only available at the ticket office.
For groups, every 21st person and the bus driver or tour guide is granted a free seat.

The special event "Library by Night", special guided tour "Stone & Building Stories", as well as our children's and holiday programmes can only be visited by booking in advance at museum@stiftadmont.at.

The admission ticket is valid for the day purchased. The prices are only valid in the 2026 season. Subject to price changes and typesetting errors.

General information
It is forbidden to smoke, consume food and drink and touch works of art and exhibits in all rooms. Guided tours are only permitted by our trained guides. Guided tours by tour guides must be registered in advance at museum@stiftadmont.at and authorised in writing.
Animals are not permitted in the museum. Exceptions to this rule are certified assistance dogs listed on the ID card. In order to ensure optimal care, we kindly ask you to register in advance at museum@stiftadmont.at or under +43 (0) 3613/2312-604.
