Admont meets London - when music meets tourism and marketing

An idea that had been maturing for a long time - and has now ignited with full force...

In an extraordinary collaboration between the Admont Abbey Grammar School, the marketing team of the Admont Benedictine Abbey and music professor Clemens Frühstück, a very special music and tourism project was organised.

In the centre of the venerable Admont Abbey, music, culture, culinary delights and youthful enthusiasm merged into a complete experience: the grammar school's big band made Admont Abbey swing, while pupils wandered through the library, the museum and the abbey cellar - accompanied by rousing rhythms and a palpable zest for life.

The idea and realisation came from the creative pen of the abbey's marketing team, which repeatedly sets the tone with creative, bold and media-effective projects - both regionally and internationally. This project is another example of how successfully the values and content of Admont Abbey can be communicated in a modern, emotional and authentic way.

At the same time, the campaign emphasises the outstanding reputation of the Stiftsgymnasium Admont, which is known far beyond the region for its excellent musical education, high educational quality and creative promotion of young talent.

With a keen sense of atmosphere, storytelling and visual staging, a video was produced that impressively unites the lively diversity of the monastery, the creativity practised at the grammar school and the modern understanding of monastic cultural education.

Another highlight: none other than a world-class studio in London was commissioned to master the soundtrack - the legendary Abbey Road Studio, where music history has been written for 93 years. Where The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Amy Winehouse and Oasis once refined their songs, the sound from Admont has now also been polished to a high gloss. An accolade for the project - and a strong sign of how far monastic creativity reaches today.

A project that breaks down boundaries - between generations, genres and even countries.

Once again, the Benedictine Abbey of Admont shows that history meets the present. Culture meets sound. And marketing meets magic.

Voices on the project:
