New burial option - urn meadow in Ardning

The cemetery is one of the most important cultural assets of every place and people. It is a public place of remembrance for the deceased. The saying still applies: „If you want to know which people live in a place, then go and look at the cemetery there!“

It is also important to us in terms of faith that there is a common place of remembrance for our dearly departed that is accessible to all. Their names, written in God's hand, should not be forgotten. We therefore attach great importance to the commemoration of the dead and the care of the cemetery and graves.

At the same time, we know that saying goodbye to the deceased and caring for their graves is particularly difficult for many people today.

In addition to the cemeteries in Ardning and Frauenberg, the Ardning urn meadow is intended as a dignified option for the „final resting place“ of our deceased. The urn meadow is an area in the Ardning cemetery that is enclosed by a fence.

Burial of the urns in the ground is anonymous, which means that no headstone or cross will be placed there. The meadow cannot be entered either; it is not possible to lay flowers or light candles directly on the meadow. However, there is a beautiful „memorial place“ on the outside of the boundary fence. The names of those who were buried in the meadow are listed here, and it is also possible to light candles and lay flowers.

The need for grave maintenance is completely eliminated for the relatives - it is taken over by the cemetery administration.

There are a one-off fee of € 500 for burial in a decomposable urn. After 10 years, you will be asked by the cemetery administration whether an „extension“ is desired, i.e. whether the name plate should be removed or not.
