Programme

Handicrafts and culinary specialities

...is the motto of "Advent at Admont Abbey", which is taking place for the 25th time this year. In the outdoor area of the Admont Benedictine Abbey, stall holders offer speciality crafts and culinary delights.

The special ambiance of "Advent at Admont Abbey" is one thing, but in addition, this Christmas market brings with it a great tradition and a wonderful program. Especially children look forward to the Christ Child post office, where they can send letters to the Christ Child and then look forward to a response. Moreover, the little ones can craft Christmas gifts in the museum workshop, admire the impressive Christmas nativity scenes in the abbey church, ride ponies, and experience solemn church services to prepare for the Christmas festival. And you can also savor Gesäuse specialties such as Ennstal "Steirerkaskrapfen", Gesäuse burger, "Engelslocken", or apple punch.
