Creative school project combines education, culture and tourism

As part of a joint cooperation project between the marketing department of Admont Abbey and the Abbey Grammar School, an innovative, interdisciplinary film project was realised that combines education, culture, tourism and music in a special way.

Pupils and teachers from Admont Abbey High School have been working creatively with dance, music and film - with the aim of impressively presenting key areas of Admont Abbey's tourist attractions. The focus is on the museum, the world's largest monastery library, the traditional abbey cellar, but also the abbey grammar school with its big band.

Under the professional guidance of a dancer and choreographer, fun dance scenes were created, which were realised together with artfully staged film shots. An experienced filmmaker took over the direction, camera, lighting and sound and ensured that both the pupils' artistic work and the unique rooms of the monastery were captured authentically and atmospherically.

The video will perfectly combine the creative diversity of the pupils, the quality of the artistic education at the Stiftsgymnasium and the cultural appeal of Admont Abbey. Publication is planned for the near future - with the aim of not only visualising the creative potential of the young generation, but also bringing the rich diversity of the monastery to a wider audience.
