After a break due to the coronavirus, the monastery market days were able to take place again this year. Around 50 exhibitors presented their products from 12 to 14 August in the Rosarium of Admont Benedictine Abbey.

The Monastery Market Days have long since established themselves as a fixture in the annual programme of events at Admont Benedictine Abbey. After a two-year break due to the pandemic, the major event was able to take place again this year with an extensive supporting programme.
Over 50 exhibitors from Germany and abroad presented home-made products for body and soul. Among others: Schlierbach Abbey, Paul Abbey, Plankstetten Benedictine Abbey, the Gesäuse partners and the organic baker from St Florian

Supporting programme and exclusive shows

In addition to the colourful market hustle and bustle, visitors can look forward to an exciting and varied supporting programme:

  • On Friday, 12 Augustthe "Strubbis" provide harmonious musical entertainment.

  • On Saturday, 13 AugustDie Ennstaler" will be playing and from 13:00 to 15:00 Radio Grün-Weiß will be a live guest to fulfil music requests.

  • On Sunday, 14 AugustThe traditional morning pint organised by the Admont-Hall Music Association takes place after Mass at 10:00 am. The "Brodjaga Musi" will perform afterwards. The programme will be hosted by Harry Prünster, who will entertain guests in the Stiftskeller restaurant from 20:00 with his exclusive show "Laughter is the best medicine".
Guided tours and children's entertainment

Younger visitors will also get their money's worth on these three days. Many exciting attractions such as face painting, creative stations and a treasure hunt are on offer during the monastery market days. On Sunday, the "Woche" family festival with a varied programme of activities brings the three-day event to a successful close.

Guided tours and special programmes in the museum will take place on all three days during the opening hours from 09:00 to 17:00.
