Working in a holiday paradise
The field of activity for employees is as diverse as the landscape that surrounds the Benedictine Abbey of Admont. Those who relocate to Admont work in the heart of an up-and-coming holiday region at the gateway to the Gesäuse National Park.
Where wild water and steep rock meet an incredible cultural offering and the nights are still so dark that you can see the Milky Way with the naked eye, lies the Benedictine Abbey of Admont. Here at the entrance to the Gesäuse National Park, the wide-ranging museum landscape of the almost thousand-year-old abbey meets unspoilt nature. The result: a holiday paradise that attracts those seeking relaxation and culture enthusiasts alike. So it's no wonder that the number of holidaymakers is increasing, as is the demand for workers. The Benedictine Abbey of Admont and its subsidiaries are active in the tourism sector as well as in the fields of forestry, museums and libraries, electricity production and district heating, horticulture, wine production, real estate, natural soils and spatial concepts as well as education. The latter in particular offers great added value for employees with families, as the Benedictine Abbey also runs a general secondary school, the Stiftsgymnasium.
Bonus for young families
In addition to a well-developed tourist infrastructure, Admont, as the second largest municipality in Styria, also offers a wide range of educational opportunities: with a crèche, three kindergartens, three primary schools, a secondary school, an agricultural and forestry college and the abbey grammar school, a school career up to A-levels is possible - without time-consuming commuting. The vocational training programme is just as extensive as the school curriculum: the Benedictine monastery offers 13 different apprenticeships in various sectors and companies. There are currently 25 apprentices in training.
Many divisions, one location
Although the areas in which the subsidiaries of the Benedictine monastery in Upper Styria operate could hardly be more different, they are united by their commitment to the region. This is why the internationally active manufacturer of natural wood flooring and room concepts, Admonter AG, the electricity producer Envesta, the property experts at Stia Immo, the abbey nursery, the forestry operations, Kaiserau Tourismus GmbH and the abbey museum all operate at one and the same location: Admont. The only exception: the Dveri Pax winery in Slovenia. All those who want to enrich the team with their innovative ideas and commitment also benefit from a joint HR department. This department has an overview of all economic fields of activity at the Benedictine Abbey of Admont and knows where the skills of new team members can best be utilised.
