The Benedictine Abbey of Admont, founded in 1074, a spiritual centre in the heart of Austria, known for its cultural institutions and monastery library with more than 70,000 visitors per year, is looking for a reinforcement for its museums (Gothic, contemporary art, art history and natural history museum), as well as for the world-famous monastery library. From December to March, the Benedictine Abbey of Admont also runs a seasonal ski centre on the magnificent Kaiserau high plateau with three lifts and two magic carpets.

What you can expect:
You impart our collected museum knowledge to guests in our museum areas and supervise our museum premises. You look after the reception of our guests in the museum area. You are the point of contact and information centre for our offers, services and prices at the museum ticket office and sell all tickets and other services of our department (e.g. audio guide, guided tours, workshops in the museum workshop, ski tickets, etc.). You will also support the team with organisational and administrative activities and at events. You will advise our guests in the monastery shop, ensure an appealing presentation of the products, be jointly responsible for restocking the shelves and sales area and operate the cash desk.
What you bring with you:
You have successfully completed an art history course or training in commerce or tourism and can also demonstrate professional experience in this field. You have a good command of German (knowledge of English and other foreign languages would be an advantage). You are communicative and enjoy working with people, are resilient, flexible and have team spirit.
We are looking for a customer-orientated and conscientious person who can integrate well into an existing team and is willing to work evenings and weekends.

This job is generally advertised as a seasonal position from 9 March to mid-December, for a permanent position we can offer a position in the Kaiserau ski area in the winter from December to March. Depending on qualifications and experience, we offer a gross monthly salary of € 2,348.67 based on full-time employment.
