Admont Abbey began building up its contemporary art collection in 1997. To this day, works from purchases by galleries, from collections, directly from artists and also partly due to donations and endowments have been added to this collection. After only a short time, a new situation has arisen from the good and permanent contacts, primarily with Austrian artists.
