About the parish of Gröbming
The parish of Gröbming is one of the oldest in Styria and has been in existence since around 1200. The church was completely rebuilt around 1500 and the church tower was raised in 1676 - 1678, giving the church its distinctive appearance. In the centre of the high altar is a Gothic Madonna. A special feature is the altar of the apostles, which is said to have been created around 1520/21 in the workshop of Lienhard Astl.
