History of the parish of Kleinsölk
The parish church was built in 1795 and the parish was established in 1892. There is also a chapel dedicated to St Hubert at Schwarzensee.

From the story
The first documentary mentions of Sölk date back to the years 1075 to 1080 and can be found in the property records of the Benedictine monastery of Admont.
The church in Kleinsölk was first mentioned in a document in 1617.
Deliveries of Sölker marble to the Benedictine Abbey of Admont are first mentioned in documents in 1770.
Kleinsölk is elevated to its own parish in 1795 - the church and vicarage are rebuilt. The Catholic "Parish Church of the Finding of the Cross" is now a listed building.
