There are probably no other glasshouses where so many volunteers work to keep the useful and ornamental plants healthy as in the Admont Abbey nursery. In total, there are thousands of them. This is because we use animal beneficial organisms instead of chemical pesticides to protect against pests.
In our greenhouses, aphids are controlled with parasitic wasps, and the predatory mite helps against the unwanted thrips - to name just two examples.
