Ecumenical service 2024

On 18 January, Protestant and Catholic Christians gathered for a special ecumenical service in our collegiate church. The occasion was the 950th anniversary of Admont Abbey, to which the abbot and the convent had cordially invited. The event was attended by a large number of participants who celebrated their faith together in unity.
During the service, the Protestant Superintendent Wolfgang Rehner and focused on the common centre, which is Christ. In his inspiring sermon, he emphasised the focus on Christ and encouraged the faithful, like Admont Abbey, to concentrate on the goal of constancy by remembering the 950-year journey of the abbey. Another central point of the sermon was to take seriously the roots of faith that bind us together.
