Prayers to St Benedict
Holy Father Benedict, worthy leader of a great army of Christ's warriors, namely your religious sons and daughters! I remind you of the beautiful death that the Lord granted you. Standing upright and praying with uplifted eyes, you gave your soul back to the Creator. Stand by me one day in my dying hour. Protect me from the attacks of the evil enemy and lead me to eternal joys. Amen.
Almighty God, in St Benedict you have given us a master and teacher who guides us to seek and serve you. Grant that we may prefer nothing to our love for you, but that we may hasten towards you full of joy and confidence on the path of your commandments. We ask this through Jesus Christ.

Prayers to St Scholastica
Lord, our God, we praise you on the feast of the Blessed Virgin Scholastica, whose life shone with radiant purity. Help us also to walk faithfully in the way to which you have called us, so that one day, together with all the saints, we may see the light of your unveiled presence. We ask this through Jesus Christ.
Exalted God, we celebrate the memory of the Blessed Virgin Scholastica. May we always serve you in sincere love, following her example, and grant us, in your goodness, a blessed return to you one day. We ask this through Jesus Christ.
Hear us, holy woman,
Sister Scholastica!
Singing we praise the ,
who chooses you as his bride.
Teach us to live love,
that unites creation in Christ.
You are surrounded by women,
as the brother teaches,
Praise and work and rest
offer yourselves to your Lord.
Sources of fertile water,
Garden you are in barren land.
Your prayer will be answered
against his brother's wishes.
Smiling, you say to him:
"Go if you can!"
Love was the greatest thing for you,
was more important to you than law and justice.
Praise be to the Lord,
Father of eternity,
praise be to the Son,
that crowns his creation,
Praise be to the spirit too,
who in truth gives life! Amen.
