Christmas magic for the whole family - Advent at Admont Abbey!
On Saturday, 6 December 2025, the Benedictine Abbey of Admont cordially invites you to the festive start of the Advent market! Abbot Gerhard Hafner OSB opens at 11:00 a.m. with a solemn Holy Mass The pre-Christmas season in the magnificent collegiate church - a special experience for young and old.
A highlight for the whole family...!
Marvel together at the famous, multi-figured "Stammelkrippe" - a true work of art of the nativity scene tradition, which can be admired in the collegiate church.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit the breathtaking monastery library - open daily from 10:00 to 19:00.
Open museum workshop for children!
Every day during the Advent market, an open museum workshop with Christmas programmes takes place on the 1st floor of the museum from 14:00 to 16:00. Free admission for children and young people!
Post to the Christ Child - an unforgettable experience!
The illuminated Christkindl post office awaits you in the centre of the festively decorated Hemmapark! Bring your letter with you or write it directly on site - and drop it straight into the letterbox. The Christ Child is sure to reply!
