Arts and crafts & culinary specialities - Advent at Admont Abbey

Experience Advent with all your senses - in magical Admont Abbey!

For the 26th time, the atmospheric Advent at Admont Abbey invites you to a festival full of tradition, enjoyment and speciality crafts. In the picturesque outdoor area of the Benedictine monastery, lovingly designed stalls with unique handicrafts and tempting culinary delicacies await you.

The special ambience makes this Advent market a real highlight - but the varied programme ensures unforgettable moments, especially for the younger guests: At the Christkindlpostamt, children can send their letters to the Christkind and look forward to a reply. Creative Christmas presents can be made in the museum workshop, while the impressive nativity scenes in the collegiate church can be admired. Pony rides and festive church services set the mood for Christmas.

There is also plenty for gourmets to discover: enjoy regional specialities such as the hearty Ennstal rye and Styrian cheese doughnuts, the popular Gesäuseburger, sweet angel curls or a warming apple punch.
