Winter can come...
While nature is slowly preparing for winter, extensive measures have been underway for weeks in the ski area around Admont Abbey to ensure a safe and smooth start to the 2025/26 ski season. Preparations are being made for both the technical facilities and the infrastructure - with great dedication and attention to detail.
- Technical inspections and maintenance work
- A central focus was on the snowmaking system, whose components were carefully checked, serviced and brought up to date. This included, among other things:
- Leak tests and pipe inspections
- Servicing of all technical components
- Dredging of the snowmaking pond to reduce sludge
- Removal of shrubs and trees around the pond
- New railing construction to increase safety

These measures not only ensure efficient operation, but also contribute to the long-term maintenance and safety of the entire infrastructure.
Extension of the water right after 30 years
After 30 years, it was also necessary to extend the water licence for snowmaking. This complex process involved extensive checks, numerous technical verifications and a large number of administrative and official procedures. Thanks to foresighted planning and committed cooperation, this process will also soon be completed.
Maintenance of the toll road to the Klinke hut
In addition to the work in the ski area, the toll road to the Klinkehütte was also thoroughly maintained.
A big thank you goes to operations manager Andreas Ysopp, who coordinated the work with great care, expertise and personal commitment. We would also like to thank all the construction companies involved, who contributed to the success of the preparations with their high level of professionalism and reliability.

Full of energy for the winter season
With the successful completion of these extensive measures, we are well prepared for the winter. We are looking forward to a snowy start to the season and to welcoming many guests back to our ski area soon!
