The Benedictine Abbey of Admont is not only a spiritual and cultural centre, but also the economic centre of the region. Around 500 employees work in a wide variety of specialised fields, which are represented by the companies of the Benedictine Abbey. In addition to the Abbey Museum, these include leading companies such as Admonter AG and the energy producer Envesta. "The Benedictine Abbey of Admont is one of the largest employers in the Liezen district. It is particularly important to us that we are a reliable and consistent partner for our employees," says HR Manager Sabine Stachl. The company is currently looking for IT specialists with experience in first-level support and application support. However, unsolicited applications are also welcome, says Stachl: "As we have a central HR department, we can also respond optimally to applications that do not relate to a specific job advert. We match the strengths and interests of the applicant to our business departments in order to be able to offer a suitable area of responsibility."

Focus on school and apprenticeship training

The fact that the Benedictine Abbey of Admont has also focussed on regional development is evident in numerous tourism projects as well as in the education sector. In recent years alone, the Benedictine Abbey has invested almost 7 million euros in the Admont Abbey Grammar School. The aim is to offer children a comprehensive education up to the Matura. In addition to school education, the Benedictine Abbey also focuses on the professional development of young people. "We are increasingly focussing on apprenticeships," says Sabine Stachl. Two forestry apprentices and one office apprentice are being taken on again. Admonter AG will also be taking on four to five apprentices this year. And that's not all. "We offer a wide range of apprenticeships," emphasises the HR manager. In addition to forestry and office work, apprenticeships are offered in the fields of carpentry and wood technology, mechatronics, automotive and metal technology, electrical engineering, floristry and gardening.
