A resounding success: DVERI PAX has once again won multiple awards
Silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards
The DVERI PAX winery, situated in north-eastern Slovenia, once again impressed the judges this year at one of the world’s largest and most prestigious wine competitions, the Decanter World Wine Awards. In a rigorous blind tasting, two wines stood out in particular: with 91 points for the Furmint 2024 and 90 points for the DP Brut Furmint 2020, the winery secured two silver medals.
Five further wines were awarded bronze:
- Riesling 2024
- Sauvignon Blanc 2024
- Pinot Noir 2020
- Chardonnay Vajgen 2022
- Furmint Ilovci 2023
These awards recognise the meticulous work in the vineyard, the precise craftsmanship in the cellar and the distinctive character of each individual wine. Some of the award-winning wines can already be tasted at the Michelin-starred restaurant in Jarenina.
The DVERI PAX restaurant is also set to continue its success in 2026
Following its fourth consecutive award of three toques in this year’s Gault&Millau, it has now once again been listed as a recommended restaurant in the 2026 Michelin Guide. This once again underlines the restaurant’s consistently high quality.
Restaurant manager Aleš Flakus, along with head chefs Miloš Stamenković and Luka Zavratnik and their entire kitchen and service team, have played a key role in this success. With great passion and dedication, they ensure that DVERI PAX is recognised as a culinary destination far beyond the region.
